About Doves Farm Foods
Based on the Wiltshire/Berkshire border, Doves Farm Foods was established in 1978 by Michael and Clare Marriage.
Doves Farm is a family owned enterprise with 60 staff, drawing the majority of these and many raw materials from the local Wessex area. Doves Farm prides itself in providing dedicated organic, ethical and Fairtrade agricultural systems, nurturing partnerships with suppliers and customers and supporting local community projects.
The challenge
Prior to Lakeview’s Web Sales solution Doves Farm Foods sold directly to businesses, wholesalers and through retail outlets like Tesco’s. The challenge Doves Farm faced was to attract the smaller businesses and to further offer the full array of products to individuals as retail outlets often only stocked a selection of goods.For Jethro Marriage (Marketing Manager, Dove Farm Foods) it was a no brainer and coming from a dot com background he provided a wealth of knowledge to realise the project, source the web designer (Imaginet) and see the website fully integrated with Lakeview to a successful and timely launch.

The solution
Doves Farm Foods now has a new sales channel to further attract medium sized businesses and individuals with a full range of products 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Jethro Marriage, Marketing Manager, Doves Farm Foods comments:

Jethro Marriage, Marketing Manager, Doves Farm Foods comments: “Since we went live on Friday 11th September we’ve been taking orders not only from the UK but from the Isle of Bute to Northern Ireland, customers we’ve never knowingly attracted before and without having to rely on extra marketing spend.
It is early days, but we’re excited about this venture and envisage it contributing significantly to our business and future revenues.
In time I would like us to better serve our larger current customers, and although separate to our web sales environment I would like to introduce EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and set aside spend for search engine marketing but for now it’s all about attracting new customers and new revenues”.
