User Group - A Chairman's View
Some of you who have been users of LM for some time may recall the annual event held at Bexleyheath, usually in early summer as I recall, to give updates on product and services etc. I remember at those meetings discussing with many of you how useful it would be if there was a forum for 'users' to get together and share views, thoughts, tips, comments, celebrations of the good and of course feedback on the less good to the team at Lakeview with mutual benefit in mind.
Well the group of course is into its' second year and well established now with interest in attending growing across the customer community and that is very encouraging indeed.
If you have not visited before then the meetings are run by the users with presentations made by members of the Lakeview team on topical issues, areas of product and business development and we have had 3rd party speakers as well in such areas as Business analytics and Electronic data communications. The second part of the day breaks down to two key horizontal divisions (Manufacturing & Wholesale) within the community to discuss and potentially instigate further work on pertinent areas within LM that cross over business boundaries and impact on many of our commercial worlds.
The support and enthusiasm from many of you for the group has been greatly valued by the Lakeview team and made chairing the meetings a challenging pleasure. I have taken lessons from this openness to customers back to my own company and it has become a regular part of what we now do. I look forward to meeting more of you at the coming meetings in June.
