MRP
Companies that have a issues with stock lead times or with many components needed to manufacture items can often find themselves in the situation where they need to forecast a product sale/usage in order to purchase/manufacture the goods in time. Lakeview’s MRP module is designed to use these forecasts as well as system data to produce a schedule of required purchases and works orders to fulfil all requirements and highlight any issues.
Forecasting
Each product can have a forecast per location, forecasts can be entered per user defined period, be it week, month or a combination. Forecasts can be imported from spreadsheets or manually inserted and there can be up to 4 forecasts stored to allow for analysis of initial budget against a restructured forecast.

Processing
The MRP system will take into account the forecasts that are set up and other factors such as currently profiled stock demand, minimum stocking levels, economic order quantities, order frequency criteria and supplier lead time. The application will then load in all the demand and supply and work backwards on a just-in-time basis to make sure that stock holding is optimised. All suggested purchase and manufacturing orders are available to view and alter before confirming to the system.
