Manage Work Centres / Processes
Working areas can be set up and controlled within the system to reflect the factory floor’s organisation. Overhead costs and capacity can be assigned to each work centre. Production process maps can be created, including default timing per process and work area allowing for analysis of actual time taken against the budgeted time. This flexibility alongside efficient data collection constitutes the base for a robust reporting system.
Real-Life Manufacturing
A range of features are provided to anticipate and compensate for “real-life” scenarios where documents may be fed-back out of sequence, machines may break down, or scrap losses are made.
Reporting
Work In Progress (WIP) reporting. WIP reporting calculates the total value/cost of all in-progress jobs dependent upon their last known position and hence labour expenditure to date. A material value can be itemised separately if required, to give separate totals for labour and material WIP.
Batch/Order progress reporting. The position of each batch of each order is known by the system as soon as the worksheets are collected and read into the system. Time to complete can be estimated and appropriate action taken to accelerate any slow-moving work.
Work centre performance reporting. A wide range of reporting options are available, to provide information as diverse as identification of the problematic operations, through to piece-rate pay calculation if work centres are defined as individuals. Losses/failures from each batch per operation level can be entered to override the initial (default) batch size, allowing reporting of failure rates by operation and/or work centre.
